I had the honor of photographing an amazing band.  They were so fun to work with & their style was right up my alley.  "Yes, please climb up on that train & look awesome!"

The band came up with this amazing idea to use an old abandoned police station as the starting point of their photo-shoot.  Right behind the station are some train tracks & a little ways down there were some great cargo cars hangin out.  I couldn't have asked for a better location!

We headed for the trains first & came up with some beautiful shots.  Then they asked, "would you like us to climb up on top of that there train".....my reply "YES!!!" Loved that they had no fear & brought great style to the photo-shoot.  After capturing some more amazing shots around the police station, we headed a bit down the road to a dark alley.  That's where we really started to get creative & used lights from buildings, motorcycles driving by & headlights.

If I were to do another band photo-shoot I would hope that it would be as creative & alive as this was. The band selected some perfect locations in their home town, which I believe reflected them to a "T", They showed up with style & what did I tell them?  To HAVE FUN!  Truly that's the key to a great photo-shoot, to have fun.  Thank you for spending the evening with me Del Sol Project & I'm so excited for your album release on September 4th at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach.  And a special thanks for featuring a couple of the photos on the band album, It was truly a pleasure.  I look forward to capturing you all again!

Please visit them on Facebook HERE. AND join them at the Belly UP Tavern, this Wednesday, September 4th, 2013 at 7pm for their CD Release Party.

Welcome! Thanks for reading...My name is Amanda, my inspiration for photography stems from the desire to capture my daughter and her friend Ellia, the "Two Roses".  They have their own language, watching the moments they share created this yearning to preserve these raw times in their lives.

Now I am thoroughly enjoying capturing moments in time for others and hoping to give families photos that will cause them to "pause", invoke emotions deep inside & stir up treasured memories.
